Photographing their homeland is a mission for every self-respecting photographer

In these images it is as if I had wanted to capture the sounds and smells of the place where I was born.

Retracing the lanes, the slopes, observing the houses which while remaining in the same place have slowly been decorated by the passage of time – going back in time and comparing them with my recollections enables me to perceive the progression of my life.

No image can have the same colours as those of my homeland – evoking the special emotional shadings of the taste of the morning cappuccino, the birthday cake and the smell of school bags.
